Read how we collaborated with an online affiliate marketing site to provide a solution to the sports betting industry including Branding, Web Design, Content Creation, SEO & Social Media Management

Background

An online affiliate marketing business to the sports betting industry, formerly FBTAcca.com, Half Time Tips were in need of a major overhaul after deciding to rebrand ahead of expanding their content. Having grown organically through social media, FBTAcca had established a strong position in the market of social media sports tipsters, generating revenue through partnerships with leading bookmakers such as Bet365 and Ladbrokes, featuring on the latter summer transfer tips section.

The Project

“SBJ Communications designed social campaigns tailored to each specific social media, with a consistent message across all”

After deciding to rebrand, SBJ Communications were instructed to come up with a new brand to include the expansion of new sports and features, and to expand its audience through new media channels.

A change in name was the first task. A more recognisable name, relevant to the new content rich brand was required. Half Time Tips was decided as it was clear and relevant to the industry and the content, whilst including all sports under the umbrella of "Half Time". A new website would be required, with a focus on UX built around extensive SEO research.

A new colour scheme was also established, green and pink. The vibrant, contrasting colour scheme was easy on the eye and perfect for the UX approach, stood out from the industry standards of blue, red or black, whilst also resonating with the content with green representing the grass of many sports.

We were also tasked with contributing to the content creation and communicating the content via social channels. The original social channels of Facebook and Twitter where the business had stemmed from were rebranded to Half Time Tips to keep in line with the IMC and new media in Instagram & a podcast on Soundcloud were created, to expand the audience. The team at SBJ Communications contributed to the new Football and Basketball content teams as well as hosting and editing the weekly podcast.

Once the rebranding had taken place and the content had been created, the final task of the project was the digital marketing. SBJ Communications designed social campaigns tailored to each specific social media, with a consistent message across all. SEO keywords were applied on and off page to boost search rankings & partnerships were agreed with other websites for backlinks and advertising space.
